tttttnfTTrip around Levinski clinic
On Wednesday 21.4.28 I arrived for the first time at the new central station in Tel Aviv with the intention of turning allof if to my studio. Since then I come on a daily basis to the station with a sketchbook in which I draw my gaze on the station. I walk around until I find where I want to draw at this time and start doing it. I write poems between the drawings that the place evokes me. When I return home I record a residency diary in which I tell what I met today at the station. The project began within a research group of artists in Beit Hagefen in Haifa, led by Talia Hoffman, which I attended for a second year. This year each one went out to research where she wants to create and work. For many years I was looking for a way to create at the station without financial means. Because I do not need much to draw, write, or To create in almost any way, I decided to turn the whole place into my studio.
In the process of observing and assimilating the place, I encounter interactions with the users of the place. Sometimes with The workers in Super-Pharm, sometimes with the guards, sometimes with the management team, sometimes with men Who think I'm a teenager prostitute and not a 30 year old trans guy. These interactions meet with my personal experience And my memories of the time I was at the station when I was a girl. I notice the differences, write and record Them, and maps the station by lighting, smell, sound, emptiness or fullness and workers. When I go out And enters from the station, I exit and enter from the past to the present and vice versa, passing between layers of time and trying to bridge over The gap between then and now. Slowly I discover what a significance this place has for other people who have grown up as well Inside it. I gave the project a year. At the end of this time I will collect all the materials and want to do a big exhibition in an Industrial space where I will turn it into my central station.
